On OWASP episode #34, Amichai Shulman is interviewed. He talks in technical detail about the application security space, and shares his perspectives on everything from WAF and VA to code review and the synergies of bringing them all together. He also explores some of the research that his team at Imperva - the Application Defense Center (ADC) has been working on. As always Jim Manico does an excelent job of conducting the interview on this somewhat controversial topic of WAF vs. Code Review. As Amichai points out however, it really isn't a question of "vs" anymore, as much as a question of risk management, budget, and bringing these once separated techniques and technologies together to provide the best solutions possible.
